Sunnycroft is an Edwardian Industrialists home in Wellington, Shropshire. Currently open Friday,Saturday,Sunday and Mondays.

Well worth a visit when staying with us and join two visits by also going to Attingham Park.

Road works and diversions affecting the route to The Stanage from 2nd April for 12 weeks.

Leave the M54 at junction 6 and head towards Lawley Village. Turn right at the new traffic lights, junction of West Centre Way and Arleston Lane (this used to be a roundabout)Right into Arleston Lane past Lawley Primary School and left then left again into Glendale. Straight up Glendale and past the Premier Express shop. Turn right onto Dawley Road and The Stanage is on the right, wooden fence and gates. Look for B & B Red, white and blue rosette from Visit England.

Once again it is snowdrop time. We have an abundance in our garden at The Stanage B & B and I know the local woods and gardens are also full of them

Take an outing to Attingham Park or Benthall Hall this weekend and enjoy a walk in the woods.

Update on the Grazing Cow, Lawley. We had a lovely meal there last week and several guests have been and sampled the food and drink and have all reported back A good pub with plenty of choice and a great meal.

It is so nice to be able to walk to a local pub and be sure of a super meal. A 15 minute stroll from our B & B.

February Half Term at Blists Hill Victorian Town, Ironbridge

Lots of activities for all of the family to take part in at the Victorian Town. Chat to the townsfolk in their shops and cottages and find out about old curious remedies in the Pharmacy.

Enjoy traditionally prepared fish and chips for lunch or freshly baked bread from the Victorian bakers.

Blists Hill is approximately a 15 drive from The Stanage B & B or catch the bus into Ironbridge from Lawley and pick up the Connect bus to take you to all of the museums.

A good view of The Wrekin can be had on your way back from Telford when you drive down the West Centre Way approaching Lawley Village. It was a little misty this morning when I took these pictures.

You can just see The Wrekin in the distance

You can see the new Morrisons supermarket at Lawley Square and The Grazing Cow pub soon to open.

To get to The Stanage B & B ,take a left turn at the traffic lights at the crossroad, continue to the

roundabout by the large white church and take the last exit towards Lawley and New Works,

continue past ACH Autos and we are on the right just after the turning into Lawley Village.

Look for Dawley Road sign and 30mph speed limit area.

Places to eat near The Stanage B & B in Telford

Within walking distance of The Stanage B & B there is soon to be a Marstons pub called The Grazing Cow, due to open 11th February 2013. That will be a 15/20 minute walk and is in the newly built Lawley Square. A new Morrisons has opened there and a Greggs bakers, other shops etc will be opening very soon.

A little further afield (2 miles) is The Huntsman in Little Wenlock and all guests who have gone there to eat have enjoyed the food and surroundings.

Ironbridge has many pubs and restaurants and is a 10 minute drive from The Stanage B & B.
