Leave The Stanage and drive north/west along the A5 and visit first Oswestry and then go to Whittington( A495) where you will find a truly beautiful little castle set with moat and lawns. Lots of history to discover and well worth a visit.

Why not come and stay at The Stanage when visiting the Telford Steam Railway. We are a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes in the car.
Next year the line expects to add Lawley Station and future plans are to complete the line down to the Ironbridge Gorge.
